Traffic stop leads to drug charges in Richmond

RICHMOND – A Michigan man faces multiple drug charges after Richmond police pulled him over Sunday for failure to signal and found marijuana and numerous prescription pills inside his car.

Kevin D. Paquette, 41, 36343 County Road 358, Paw Paw, Mich., was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, controlled substance possession, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and improper turn signal, according to a Richmond police news release.

In total, Richmond police recovered 40 methadone pills, 10 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $450 from Paquette's car, police said.

Paquette is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning, according to the McHenry County Circuit Court Clerk's office.
