AURORA – Officials in Aurora said 66 condominiums at a complex in the city were damaged when this week’s severe winter weather left them without heat or water for several days.

Aurora officials said Friday the condos are in 11 buildings of the Willow of Fox Valley complex on Aurora’s east side.

City firefighters were called to one unit Tuesday because of a broken water pipe. They then discovered the buildings were without either heat or water. More problems were found Thursday.

The city has urged residents of the buildings without water or heat to find other places to stay while it works with property managers to get repair work done.

Four families asked for and were given help finding temporary housing by local social service agencies.
