Legislative town hall to be held in Woodstock on Tuesday

WOODSTOCK – Area legislators will participate in a town hall meeting Tuesday night at Woodstock City Hall.

State Sen. Pam Althoff, R-McHenry, state Rep. Jack Franks, D-Marengo, and Barbara Wheeler, R-Crystal Lake, are scheduled to appear for the special town hall meeting to be moderated by the editors at Reboot Illinois, a nonpartisan digital media firm.

Legislators will be asked to speak about what will happen to Illinois’ income and sales taxes, the temporary tax increase, the state’s backlog of bills, unemployment, job creation, pensions and other matters.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Woodstock City Hall Council Chambers, 121 West Calhoun in Woodstock.
