WOODSTOCK – District 200 is taking volunteers for its 23rd annual Love to Read Week.

Held every year around Valentine's Day, the week helps instill the importance of reading as a lifelong skill by hosting community members to read to and talk about reading with students.

The program will run Monday, Feb. 3 through Friday, Feb. 7. The district is looking for volunteers to fill time slots in the mornings and afternoons.

Volunteers get to choose the day, time, school and grade at which they read. They also have the option to bring in their own reading material or seek input from teachers or the Woodstock Public Library.

Prospective volunteers can get a signup form at the District 200 Administrative Services Center, Woodstock Public Library or Read Between the Lynes. The forms are also available online at http://woodstockschools.org/love-read-week

For more information, call the district's community services office at 815-337-5147.
