Woodstock Little League to open registration

WOODSTOCK – Saturday marks the first of three Woodstock Little League registration dates.

The organization is hosting walk-in registration from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday; 1 to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 26; and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 6.

Registration will be at the Woodstock VFW Post, 240 N. Throop St.

Players ages 7 to 16 can sign up for Woodstock Little League. The Woodstock Girls Softball League is open to girls ages 6 to 19.

Woodstock Challenger Little League baseball, a league for boys and girls with mental and physical disabilities, is open to children ages 4 to 18, or up to 22 years old as long as the player is enrolled in a high school program.

Individuals interested in volunteering for Challenger, including managers and “buddies,” can call Vice President of Challenger Rochelle Donahue at 815-546-7884.
