Christie bashing

To the Editor:

It was almost funny Sunday to watch David Gregory on Meet the Press try feverishly to trash the reputation of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie over the closure of the bridge in New Jersey last year.

While Christie stood for almost two hours last week to apologize and explain what he did and didn’t know regarding this bridge closure and, ultimately, fired the aide responsible, Gregory tried as hard as he could to trash Christie’s character. Just a taste of things to come.

I don’t remember President Barack Obama giving us 60 seconds of explanation regarding the IRS scandal, Benghazi, the problems with Obamacare, etc. Nor has he held anyone responsible for what happened in any of these situations.

A bridge closure is so much more important an issue than unfair targeting of thousands of people by the IRS or the deaths of four innocent Americans in Benghazi? Or the inconveniences associated with Obamacare? Please.

Keep it up, David Gregory. Try as hard as you can to beat a dead dog. I just hope most people will see through this clearly partisan “reporting” of issues that really matter.

As far as I can tell, many more people are being inconvenienced by the scandals in the Obama administration than were driving over that bridge for a few days.
