Lake in the Hills school tech support employee accused of stealing tablets

LAKE IN THE HILLS – A 21-year-old technical support employee is accused of taking computer equipment from Marlowe Middle School, the police department said.

Robert E. King, of Lake in the Hills, was charged Tuesday with theft from a school of between $500 and $10,000.

King took seven KUNO 4 tablets, which cost about $600 a piece, said Chief of Patrol Services David Brey.

Brey added King took the tablets from the school with the intention of selling them.

King was taken to McHenry County Jail, and is waiting to have his bond set.
