ALGONQUIN – Area lawmakers will discuss a variety of education issues with District 300 officials and residents during a legislative forum at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive, Algonquin.
The annual event provides a face-to-face opportunity for the Carpentersville-based school district community to meet and question legislators in the Illinois General Assembly.
The topics discussed at the forum could include pension reform, school funding and virtual charter schools.
State Reps. Mike Tryon, R-Crystal Lake; David McSweeney, R-Barrington Hills; and Bob Pritchard, R-Hinckley; and state Sens. Dan Duffy, R-Lake Barrington; Michael Noland, D-Elgin; and Dave Syverson, R-Rockford, are all scheduled to attend.
The public is also welcome to attend.
