CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College’s Trips and Tours is offering two different trip previews on Jan. 30.

Attend one or both trip previews to find out more information about upcoming trips available this summer and fall. Previews are from 2-3 p.m. for the Trains and Canyons of the West trip and from 4-5 p.m. for the Blue Danube River cruise. Both trip previews take place in Room A103 at the college, 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.

The Trains and Canyons of the West preview will provide information about  the breathtaking sites visitors will see on a scenic float trip on June 21-28. Tourists will ride the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, which was voted one of the “Top Ten Most Exciting Train Journeys in the World.”  Tourists will learn the history of Santa Fe and the history of the “Ancient Ones,” the Anasazi Indians.

The second preview will feature the Blue Danube River Cruise, set for Sept. 29 through Oct. 9. This 11-day tour begins in Prague, Czech Republic, and then the journey continues as you begin a seven day cruise on the Blue Danube, going to locations in Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary.

Tourists will see and visit many beautiful places along the way.  This trip includes free home pickup, two night hotel stay in Prague, all meals onboard the MS Amadeus Diamond, many shore excursions, airport transfers, round trip air from Chicago, port charges and much more.
