County spendthrifts

To the Editor:

Once more, the spendthrifts in McHenry County are trying to put a bypass around Lake in the Hills so the road hog leadfoots can drive through Lake in the Hills at increased speed and risk their lives.

McHenry County Board, the bypass is not going to happen. A few years back, I was talking to former Algonquin Village President John Schmidt. He was all sold on the bypass and wasn’t in listening mode. I won’t get to not vote for him anyway. At that time, they had spent $8 million on consultants.

The McHenry County Board is not concerned about the village of Lake in the Hills, and I won’t be concerned about them in the next election.
