Two taken to hospital after Spring Grove accident

SPRING GROVE – Two people were taken to the hospital after a car went off the road and into trees Sunday afternoon.

The Spring Grove Fire Protection District responded to a call for the one-vehicle accident at 12:48 p.m. at the intersection of Route 12 and Fox Lake Road in Spring Grove, Battalion Chief Julie Tobiasz said.

A small SUV carrying three people went off the road for unknown reasons, she said.

A male and female were taken to Centegra Hospital - McHenry with nonlife threatening injuries. The third person, a female, refused medical treatment.
