Crystal Lake Rib House to move to larger space

CRYSTAL LAKE – Crystal Lake Rib House and Catering Co. is preparing to move to a new, larger location this month.

The well-known restaurant will be relocated to 540 E. Terra Cotta Ave., across the street from Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center, owner Dave Faccone said.

Most of the construction work at the new location has been finished. Faccone plans to start serving food there in the second week of February. The new 7,000-square-foot restaurant has room for a full-service bar and lounge and more seating. It should make wait times shorter for customers.

“We’ve needed more space for years,” Faccone said.

He said the restaurant will continue to serve the same barbecue that has earned it top honors in Northwest Herald reader polls. For information, visit or call 815-477-3600.
