Discarded dog

Published: Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

I was appalled this week when I heard about the death of a poor, emaciated pit bull dog who was left in a cage by the side of a road in the freezing cold. Some human being decided to throw this dog away just as we discard so many things that we don’t want anymore.

I believe that people like this deserve the same kind of treatment given this dog. At the very least, they deserve to be severely punished.

I would say they are a poor excuse for a human being.

You and I are supposed to be more intelligent than other kinds of animals. But other animals do not kill each other to amuse themselves, nor as a matter of convenience.
