I, like many others, have made a promise to surround myself with positive people.
I have recently read “How Full is Your Bucket?” written by Tom Rath and Donald O. Clifton, and it is so true how we need more positive people in our lives to keep our buckets full.
As mentioned in this book, we have about 20,000 individual moments every day in our busy lives.
How we respond to these moments, whether they are negative or positive, play a huge role in our emotional well-being.
A positive moment tends to fill our bucket, and a negative one will deplete it.
When you surround yourself with positive people, your bucket will remain full.
The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is filled with positive people. These people will fill your buckets faster than you can imagine. So I would challenge us all this year to be bucket-filling individuals at work, home and play, as I have brought it upon myself to be a more positive person this year and be someone who fills buckets as opposed to being someone who drains them.
Remember to “think chamber first” if you are in the market for any products or services this year and to check out our website, clchamber.com, for local businesses. I am confident you will experience that strong sense of those bucket-filling moments when you turn to your local business providers that associate themselves with such a strong chamber.
