See new health clinic

To the Editor:

From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday there is a community Open House at the new Family Health Partnership Clinic’s Sage Center for Care, 401 E. Congress Parkway, Crystal Lake.

This clinic project was seven years in the making with tremendous work from the clinic’s board of directors and a generous lead gift from Vince Foglia. A $3.2 million capital campaign was launched last year to fund the new clinic, which is 10,000 square feet and allows our providers to care for twice as many uninsured patients.

The new facility (which was designed to reduce environmental impact) is closer to public transportation (helping our patients get to the clinic) and local medical physician groups (helping us to recruit more volunteer providers), and it came in under budget.

Ninety-five percent of the goal of the capital campaign has been reached through the incredible support of the community members and businesses throughout McHenry County.

This open house is an opportunity for you to see firsthand what McHenry County came together to accomplish for those who are uninsured and underinsured in our community.

For information on the clinic and its services, visit We, the staff, volunteers and patients of Family Health Partnership Clinic thank all of you who made this venture possible. Please stop by the open house, see this beautiful facility and allow us to thank you in person.
