Roundup: Woodstock North falls in OT

The Woodstock North boys basketball team nearly became the first Fox Valley Conference Fox Division team to beat Grayslake Central in its 73-68 overtime loss in Grayslake Thursday night. 

Junior Ortiz of Woodstock North hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds to send the game to overtime. The Blue Streaks (7-17, 3-6 FVC Fox) outscored Grayslake Central 23-15 in the fourth quarter to force overtime. 

Grayslake Central outscored Woodstock North 9-4 in overtime to stay undefeated in conference. 

Josh Jandron led the Streaks with 17 points and Nikolaus Herscha added 16. Ortiz finished with 13 points. 

Immaculate Conception 78, Marian Central 66: At Elmhurst, the Hurricanes (12-15, 5-4 SCC) lost in Suburban Christian Conference play. Adam Pischke led Marian Central with 14 points and Wyatt Lindell added 13. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Richmond-Burton 47, Wauconda 37:  At Richmond, Hannah Koenig led the Rockets (16-9) with 11 points and 12 rebounds in the nonconference win. Sara Swanson and Abby Straight each added eight points.
