Huntley Rotary sponsors library's digital reading tool

Published: Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 4:13 p.m. CST

HUNTLEY – The Huntley Rotary Club recently donated $1,000 to sponsor a digital reading program for children at the Huntley Area Public Library.

The donation allows the library to better support TumbleBooks, an educational tool for children learning to read. TumbleBooks offers books, educational games, short videos, and read-along text for children.

The club reviewed several options for its community literacy project and ultimately decided the sponsorship could reach the greatest number of children who are developing literacy skills, according to a Rotary news release. It's the first year the project will include a digital product for children.

TumbleBooks is available for free to any area resident with a Huntley library card.
