Metra cites train delays

Trains are expected to be delayed on the Metra Union Pacific - Northwest Line that runs through McHenry County.

Metra issued an advisory about 4:15 p.m. Monday saying that inbound and outbound trains were stopped near Des Plaines for a "grade crossing incident."

Trains traveling to Chicago, Crystal Lake and Harvard will be stopped as they approach Des Plaines. Trains may be delayed from 45 minutes to an hour.
