Miller has integrity

To the Editor:

I recently made a small mistake when paying my property tax.

The county computer inserted the mistake, and I ended up receiving a notice for late payment, along with a bill and penalty charges. I thought, “I will have to, at best, jump through a bunch of hoops, or at worst pay the whole thing just to get rid of it.”

On a Monday, I posted a letter to the treasurer’s office, and before noon Tuesday I received a phone call from Glenda Miller, informing me that she had corrected the whole thing and even offered an unnecessary apology.

Miller is now running for the office of county treasurer. She has shown the kind of integrity and work ethic that we should always expect, but so seldom see, from a public official.

Please join me in supporting her in her endeavor to become McHenry County treasurer.
