ISLAND LAKE – A two-car crash in Island Lake sent a pregnant woman and two others to the hospital Friday morning.

Around 8:45 a.m., the Wauconda Fire department responded to the crash at Route 176 and Waterford Way. The pregnant woman was transported to Centegra Hospital McHenry with non-life threatening injuries, according to Wauconda Fire Battalion Chief Bill Hoover.

The nature of her injuries would not likely affect her pregnancy, Hoover added.

A man and a woman traveling in the second vehicle were transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, also with non-life threatening injuries.
