WINGs to host ‘Woman of Accomplishment’ lunch

McHENRY – The Women’s Interactive Networking Group is hosting a “Woman of Accomplishment” luncheon next month.

The event will feature Nancy Tunberg, vice president/branch manager of First Midwest Bank. It will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. March 19 at 31 North Banquet & Conference Center, 217 N. Route 31, McHenry.  

Tunberg will discuss how she has handled obstacles and life’s difficulties bringing her to each new level of success.

Reservations can by made at the McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce website, www.mchenrychamber.com, or by calling the chamber at 815-385-4300. The deadline for reservations is 5 p.m. March 17. Tickets cost $28 for chamber members and $33 for nonmembers.

Previous Women of Accomplishments were state Sen. Pam Althoff, McHenry Mayor Sue Low, Phoenix Woodworking owner Sandra Pierce, McHenry Savings Bank Chairman/CEO/President Kathleen Marinangel, former Pioneer Center for Human Services President Lorraine Kopczynski, McHenry Township Supervisor Donna Schaefer, Mary Margaret Maule of the ISBDC-McHenry County College Shah Center and Dr. Frances Glosson, director of community learning strategies and integration at Centegra Health System.
