Roundup: Woodstock beats Fox champ Grayslake Central

The Woodstock boys basketball team became the first team to beat Fox Valley Conference Fox Division outright-winner Grayslake Central in its 61-55 win in Grayslake Tuesday night.

Woodstock gained an early lead, outscoring Grayslake Central 17-5 in the first quarter. The Blue Streaks (12-14, 7-5 FVC Fox) led 43-32 heading into the fourth quarter and held on to claim third place in the Fox Division. 

The win was the third straight for Woodstock. Mason Sutter converted eight baskets to led the Streaks with 23 points. Mitch Kohley was second on the team with 13 points and Marcus Ammirati added seven. 

Prairie Ridge 53, McHenry 42: At Crystal Lake, the Wolves (16-10, 7-5 FVC Valley) won their final Fox Valley Conference Valley Division game on the season. Prairie Ridge was led by Jack Berg with 11 points and Michael Bradshaw with 10. Steven Ticknor added eight points and 11 rebounds. 

The Warriors (10-15, 3-9 FVC Valley) were led by Kyle Postal with 14 points and Greg Johnson added 11.
