Prim endorsements

To the Editor:

I read with interest the published letter endorsing my opponent written by my former boss, now-retired Des Plaines Police Chief Jim Ryan, a man whose glowing performance evaluation of me I still retain.

I was also promoted twice and assigned positions of additional responsibility while under his supervision.

It might interest Mr. Ryan to know that I am endorsed over my opponent for McHenry County sheriff by two other men who at one time held his job – retired Des Plaines Police chiefs Robert Sturlini and James Prandini – as well as former Des Plaines Deputy Chief Bernie Wolter and retired Des Plaines Deputy Chief David Hachmeister, along with two former senior federal agents, Jack O’Malley and Chuck Hiscock.

Endorsements don’t decide elections, but it seems former Chief Ryan has been outvoted here.
