Zinke for sheriff

To the Editor:

Transparency seems to come up in every election, including for sheriff.

I have found the current sheriff’s office, in which Andrew Zinke is undersheriff, to be very transparent, and I appreciate the information found on the website, along with the social media utilized.

It appears the Citizen Police Academy is a great way to increase communication and understand the operations. Zinke’s opponent mentions creating a volunteer network to assist the county deputies during emergencies. This appears he would be duplicating efforts since a volunteer organization already exists with the McHenry County EMA.

Zinke has worked his way up through the county in multiple departments and understands the importance of each and how to make them each function effectively.

Along with his experience and education, his commitment to the county is clear to me. It may sound like a corny cliché, but Andrew Zinke has it all from A to Z.
