Two LITH residents charged with growing marijuana

Two Lake in the Hills residents have been charged with growing marijuana and selling marijuana, according to a McHenry County Sheriff's news release.

Alexandra J. Koza, 29, and Jeremy M. Christl, 31, have both been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and unlawful production of marijuana sativa plants.

The sheriff's police narcotics task force, which includes members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department, conducted a month-long investigation into the sale and cultivation of marijuana sativa plants, according to a news release on Tuesday.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives seized nine marijuana sativa plants, 731 grams of marijuana, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, a digital drug scale and $324.

Both Koza and Christl are free on $50,000 bond.
