Need Prim’s leadership

To the Editor:

We complain about government, but this will change nothing.

We need to take an active role, and the first step is exercising this important right to vote. Reject apathy; take responsibility.

Vote Tuesday. Be informed. Make a difference. I will be voting for Bill Prim, Republican candidate for sheriff. Prim is not a politician. He owes no favors to anyone. He has lived in Cary for 20 years.

He is highly qualified for the job of sheriff, with 27 years experience in law enforcement. He served as commander in the Des Plaines police department, earning numerous awards.

He has the leadership skills the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office so desperately needs. He already has demonstrated these skills by managing rank-and-file police officers with fairness and working cooperatively, not confrontationally with other elected and management officials.

We need his leadership now more than ever.
