Time for a new perspective

To the Editor:

Ahh, bucolic McHenry County.

A great place to live. Thriving shopping areas, good schools, well-kept neighborhoods, parks and recreation abound. Fine dining, entertainment, etc. What more could a resident want? A leaner tax bill, perhaps.

Candidates asking for your vote in the election want your trust that they will spend your tax dollars wisely.

Jeff Thorsen will be a frugal steward of your tax funds. He has been a consistent voice for fiscal restraint while seated as a councilman of Crystal Lake for 15 years. He’s running for the office of McHenry County treasurer because it’s time for change. A new perspective, fresh ideas toward maximizing efficiency and transparency to better serve and save taxpayer money.

Honesty, integrity and commitment to good government comes with a vote for Jeffrey Thorsen.
