Vote McClellan for clerk

To the Editor:

Before the upcoming primary, I encourage all voters to search the Northwest Herald’s online archives to learn all you should need to know about county clerk candidate Nick Provenzano.

During the most recent redistricting process, as a County Board member, Provenzano violated the Open Meetings Act in order to change his County Board district to make sure he was re-elected. His illegal actions are documented by newspaper articles from May through September 2011.

McHenry County needs to break away from good-old-boy politicians who are only out for themselves. We need public servants doing what is in the taxpayers’ best interests, not career politicians who are only looking out for themselves.

I plan to vote for Mary McClellan, a fresh voice with unquestioned integrity, and I encourage all readers to do the same.
