Prim’s qualifications

Published: Tuesday, March 11, 2014 5:30 a.m. CST

To the Editor:

I am a retired law enforcement officer and firefighter.

I am a family member of Bill Prim, who is running for sheriff in the Republican Primary. Bill was a police officer in Des Plaines for many years. He was a patrolman, a detective, a sergeant, detective sergeant and then commander.

He is known throughout the law enforcement community as an excellent analytical thinker, a great leader and a person of high integrity.

Throughout his law enforcement career, he received several national awards, including the Department of Justice PublicService Award.

Having known Bill personally and professionally for more than 40 years, I can attest to his extraordinary qualifications for the office of sheriff.
