To the Editor:

Here’s why to vote for waste hauling in unincorporated Nunda Township and Mary McClellan for county clerk – from a 10-year Nunda Township trustee.

There are four good reasons for one waste hauler for a geographic area. The county health department has done this for two areas – one around Wonder Lake and another just north of Crystal Lake city limits – with excellent results. 1. Cleaner air through yard waste pickup. 2. More service for less money (the power of group bargaining). 3. Less truck traffic and damage to your streets. 4. Higher recycle rate.

I’ve seen Nick Provenzano in action (or nonaction), when he has agreed to bring information to our township board, but at the meeting give the professional politician response of, “Did I say that?”

Mary McClellan is one sharp lady with integrity and will be an excellent county clerk.
