Zinke clearly best choice

To the Editor:

If anyone voting in the Republican primary is on the fence as to which candidate should become McHenry County’s next sheriff, I urge you to watch the taped Feb. 25 debate hosted by the League of Women Voters and the Northwest Herald.

Undersheriff Andy Zinke was prepared, professional and clearly knows how to get the job done. He has the necessary education and experience and has proved to be a positive, effective leader.

Bill Prim, on the other hand, seemed disgruntled, angry and ill-equipped for the position. His answer to at least four questions was to get volunteers to help the sheriff’s office. His opening statement explained what he would not do as sheriff, and throughout the night, he explained nothing about what he would do as sheriff of McHenry County.

Please don’t take my word. Watch the taped debate (http://shawurl.com/10v6). Seeing is believing. The choice for Zinke is clear.
