Zinke equipped to succeed

Published: Thursday, March 13, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

Andrew Zinke, current undersheriff and candidate for sheriff of McHenry County, has the years of law enforcement experience, expertise, education and leadership qualities, in addition to exhibiting the character and integrity, to equip him to succeed as sheriff.

We have observed Andy interacting with his family for several years and always have been impressed with his strong family values along with his dedication in serving and protecting McHenry County residents.

Andy created the very successful Heroin Enforcement Education & Action Task Force. It combines case providers, law enforcement, counselors, education and local hospitals in coordinating information to target drug dealers and to help users get off of heroin. HEAT also provides an effective partnership with Cook County to target and arrest drug dealers to prevent the heroin flow from Chicago into McHenry County.

Please join us in voting for Andrew Zinke for sheriff. Thank you.
