Crystal Lake expo showcases local businesses

Published: Tuesday, March 18, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

Crystal Lake and surrounding area businesses are creating jobs every day, investing in the community and strengthening the economic base where we live and work.

The businesses participating in this year’s 32nd Annual Crystal Lake Home & Business Expo represent more than 140 diverse businesses and organizations that are an integral part of the distinctive character of the place we call home.

Visit the expo March 29 and March 30 at Crystal Lake South High School to support these local businesses and our local economy. See the latest examples of products and services available and chat with owners and employees who are eager to meet you.

Learn about volunteer opportunities, or have your children meet someone special, such as your local, county and state representatives; policemen; firemen; or your local librarian.

Looking to remodel your home? We will have many exhibitors on hand to help with all your remodeling needs.

It would take weeks for you to drive to 140 local businesses. You can do it all in a visit to the Crystal Lake Home & Business Expo. Everyone will receive some great items from local businesses, plus every 100th person receives a door prize.

Another exciting event is the expo raffle. This year, the raffle features a Crystal Lake entertainment package valued at more than $500, Chicago Bulls tickets donated by the Northwest Herald, bikes donated by Walmart, a Kindle donated by In Sync System and a foursome with carts at Crystal Woods Golf Club.

Make sure to come hungry. Café Expo features local gourmet eats such as tasty Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria & Pub individual pizzas, Galloway’s Chicago Sub Shop super sandwiches, Pablo’s Mexican cuisine and Morkes Chocolates’ delectable candies.

The Crystal Lake Chamber is grateful to the 2014 expo sponsors. Without their generous support, this event would not be possible. Please thank this year’s expo sponsors: Home State Bank, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, the Northwest Herald, Star 105.5-FM and the Fox 103.9-FM at their exhibits in the expo.
