Easier to tax

To the Editor:

Let me get this straight. The idea now put forth by a watchdog group to bail this state out of its current fiscal crisis brought about by misspending and corrupt individuals is to renege on a promise by the governor, tax social security and tax pensions.

Retired individuals and couples on fixed incomes will bear the brunt of this fix, which might be popular for those not on fixed incomes. How clever and disgusting.

Again, instead of attacking the real problems and issues, it’s easier to tax those that can least afford it. Shame on those that came up with this plan and any elected official that supports it.

Our watchdog group has become an attack dog aimed at seniors.
