MCC to offer medical coding boot camps

CRYSTAL LAKE – Medical coders and related health care professionals can stay ahead of the curve and prepare for the new federally mandated coding system that begins in the fall with two programs at McHenry County College.

MCC will be offering two different ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-CM and PCS Boot Camp Training programs.

The Intro to ICD-10-CM two-day workshop will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 5 and April 6 in Room A112. A three-day boot camp for Intro to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS also will be offered at the same time, plus the additional day of April 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room A112.

Cost is $599 for the two-day boot camp and $799 for the three-day boot camp.

The three-day Intro to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS training includes the content of the two-day Intro to ICD-10-CM bootcamp and an additional day dedicated to learning the structure, format and conventions of ICD-10-PCS.
