To the Editor:
So here we are – $100 billion in debt, and the governor sidesteps the Legislature and gives $50 million to hand-picked Chicago aldermen to fight high crime in their areas.
What’s wrong with this? No documentation as to how the aldermen were selected. No documentation to how the funds were used. No documentation as to who got the funds, etc. Worst crime areas not selected.
How can this happen? Ask our president. He bypasses Congress all the time.
And after all, they both got their training in Illinois.
