Water main break to cause Route 176 detour

CRYSTAL LAKE – A water main break on Route 176 will cause a temporary detour at the intersection of Ridge Avenue late Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Crystal Lake officials said repairs are scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Tuesday. While repairs are being made, a detour will be made for traffic heading east and west at the intersection. Westbound motorists will be directed south on Oak Street, west on Woodstock Street and north on Route 14 where travel can continue onto Route 176.

Eastbound motorists will be directed the opposite way on the same detour. Normal traffic should resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
