Behavioral health center opens in Algonquin

ALGONQUIN – A social worker and counselor reunited after the closing of a major mental health provider have started their own operation.

Michelle Durpetti and Courtney Peters have started Advantage Behavioral Health, a center specializing in employee assistance services and providing behavioral health care.

The two first worked together 13 years ago and came together at a different provider a year and a half ago after Family Service and Community Mental Health Center folded.

"Advantage Behavioral Health Focuses on prevention, education and treatment of behavioral health issues for businesses, individuals and families by providing counseling, training and consulting services," according to a press release from Advantage Behavioral Health.

The center's office is located at 1138 N. Main St., Algonquin.
