To the Editor:
As newcomers to McHenry County, we are finding the area far better than we ever expected.
One example in particular is the Town Square Players and their current production of “The Wedding Singer.” The cast gives an energetic performance, which is infectious. Harriet Thompson, in her first role as an actress, as Rosie, is priceless. Danny Rosenfeld as George, Dayna Palya as Holly, Colleen Rogalski as Julia and Colin May as Robbie lead a cast of players who are obviously having a good time playing their roles and entertaining the audience.
We never expected to find a production of this level outside downtown Chicago. Thank you, Town Square Players, Director Betsy Stemple and the entire crew for providing us with such an enjoyable afternoon.
Thank you, McHenry County, for being a place where people are warm, personable and enjoying life. The opportunities for things to do, festivals to attend, plays to see, concerts to enjoy and parks and conservation districts to explore enrich our lives beyond our expectations.
