Woodstock man arrested for allegedly stealing a TV from a family member

WOODSTOCK – A Woodstock resident was arrested this week after he allegedly broke into an extended family member's home and stole a large TV, according to a news release from the Woodstock Police Department.

Patrick M. Donahue, 27, was arrested and charged with residential burglary, a Class 1 felony, theft over $500, a Class 3 felony, and criminal damage to property, a Class A misdemeanor, the release said.

On Feb. 24 the Woodstock Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Donegal Ct. after a report of a residential burglary. It was discovered that someone forcibly entered the home and stole numbers items, including a TV.

A police investigation identified an extended family member as a suspect, and on March 12 Woodstock detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Donahue.

On Tuesday, Donahue turned himself into the McHenry County jail, where he remains in custody in lieu of a $60,000 bond.
