Hampshire hires Brasile for head football position

Mike Brasile is returning to the Fox Valley Conference for his first head coaching position.

Brasile, a 1999 Woodstock graduate, who also coached as a Blue Streaks assistant, has been hired as Hampshire’s new head football coach. He replaces Dan Cavanaugh, who retired after 25 years as head coach.

Brasile played on Woodstock’s 1997 Class 5A state championship team on both offensive and defensive line. He played college football at Ball State, then at Augustana. He currently coaches and teaches social studies at Leyden, where he coached the offensive line.
