LITH registering people for Run Thru the Hills event

LAKE IN THE HILLS – Registration is now open for the village's Run Thru the Hills event, which will have both 5K and 10K races.

The course will be over the rolling terrain that surrounds Woods Creek Lake. The event is open to families, the village said in a news release.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 10 a.m. April 13.

Registration fees through April 7 are $25 for 5K and 10K participants and $17 for molehill races, the news release said. After April 7, fees increase by $5.

All 5K and 10K participants will receive a long-sleeved technical shirt, and awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in each race, the village said.

Race medals also will be awarded to the top three in age groups beginning with ages 11 to 14 through those age 60 and older, the village said.

Molehill participants will receive a cotton shirt.

Early packet pickup and registration is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 12 at The Running Depot, 30 N. Williams St. in Crystal Lake.

People can register online at signmeup.com or lith.org, by mail, or at Village Hall at 600 Harvest Gate. For information, call 847-960-7460.
