MARENGO – A 31-year-old Woodstock man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-car crash in Marengo.

Quinn G. Gieseke died of multiple blunt-force injuries after the crash in Marengo, according to a news release from the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.

The accident occurred at about 3:40 a.m. in the 300 block of Menge Road, McHenry County Undersheriff Andrew Zinke said.

Gieseke’s car went off the road for unknown reasons and struck a culvert. Gieseke, the only person inside, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, Zinke said.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. The Marengo Fire and Rescue squad assisted at the scene.
