To the Editor:
The Republican candidate seeking the office of U.S. senator is the “Milk Man.”
The Milk Man is proposing term limits for public officials. On the face of it, term limits seem attractive because power abuses usually come from veteran public officials. On the other hand, at the end of four years, or whatever the term limit is, experienced public officials will be retired.
I would not want an inexperienced U.S. senator, for example, to be the chairman of the Budget Committee or chairman of the Armed Forces Committee.
I doubt that the Milk Man has term limits for his top employees. The Milk Man relies on his most experienced people to help him run the company.
