MCC names Alumni award winners

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College and the Friends of MCC Foundation named the three recipients for the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award on Monday.

This year’s recipients include college board of trustee member Mary Miller, who is the president of Miller Verchota Inc. in Crystal Lake; Mary Nader, associate judge of the 22nd Judicial Circuit in McHenry County; and Sandra Pierce, who is the president of Phoenix Woodworking in Woodstock.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes the accomplishments of McHenry County College alumni who have demonstrated achievement in their profession and have a positive influence on the community.

The alumni class will be honored at a reception and award ceremony, sponsored by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, on April 17 at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, in Crystal Lake.
