Obama arrives in Chicago for fundraisers
CHICAGO (AP) — President Barack Obama has arrived in his hometown of Chicago.
Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn greeted the present at the airport after his plane touched down Wednesday afternoon.
Obama plans to attend two evening fundraisers benefiting the Democratic National Committee. The first is a private roundtable discussion being attended by about 25 supporters who contributed up to $32,400.
The second fundraiser is at the Lincoln Park home of Obama donors Grace Tsao-Wu and Craig Freedman. That event is a dinner reception with about 55 supporters contributing up to $10,000 apiece.
Obama is scheduled to return to Washington after the dinner.
