Youth with disabilities can have fun, make friends and develop skills at Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association’s summer day camps.

NISRA is providing 16 summer day camps at public facilities throughout the association’s service area beginning in early June. Most camps are seven weeks long and some have half-day options for children who attend summer school.

Transportation is available for an additional charge.

Extended camps in August and other recreation programs complete NISRA’s offerings for summertime fun for all ages.

Register for camp by the early deadline of April 11 for a discount on the fee. Call the NISRA office at 815-459-0737 to receive a brochure or log onto www.nisra.org to view the brochure and print out a registration form.

As an extension of 13 park districts and municipalities, NISRA provides year-round recreation activities for children and adults with disabilities in McHenry County and parts of Cook, Kane and Lake counties.

NISRA’s mission is enriching the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful recreation experiences.
