Diaper Bank moves

Published: Saturday, April 5, 2014 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

Many thanks to all who helped the St. Paul Diaper Bank move diapers and shelving to our new location, 3705 W. Elm St., McHenry.

Forty people showed up on a rainy morning and completed our move in less than two hours. It was fantastic.

The Diaper Bank aims to collect and distribute 300,000 diapers this year from the rear entrance of the Eckel’s Flea Market in McHenry. Remember, we distribute diapers to infants and children of low-income families, the disabled, the elderly and the sick. We distribute diapers to most of the food pantries in our county, as well as organizations that work with children and senior citizens.

We collect our diapers through donations and diaper drives. We are grateful for all who help us accomplish the task at hand.

Contact us at P.O. Box 2014, McHenry.

The Rev. Phyllis Mueller

Director, St Paul Diaper Bank
