The McHenry Area Chamber’s Marketing Connection Referral Groups are hosting the Spring Networking Scramble April 25 at McHenry Country Club. Showcase and registration is from 11 to 11:45 a.m. and the Lunch Scramble is from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Sponsored by Centegra Health System, the event is a structured progressive networking luncheon whereby representatives from growth-oriented businesses have the opportunity to introduce their organizations to 30 non-competing businesses. Attendees move from table-to-table for each course. A facilitator is at each table asking questions designed to feature each business at its best. All attendees receive a list of participants.

The cost is $25 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Those who invite a business that is not a McHenry Area Chamber member, can both attend for $20 each. All are welcome to provide items for the goody bag. To register, visit

The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its Million Dollar Golf Outing starting at 10:30 a.m. May 21 at McHenry Country Club. Five golfers will be pulled from those in attendance at the dinner. All five will have a shot to hit a hole-in-one to win $1 million. Scramble shotguns start at 10:30 a.m.

The event is limited to 128 golfers. A grilled lunch is served at the halfway house. It is available to all, thanks to the generosity of Jim and Kathy Marinangel of McHenry Savings Bank. The dinner and program is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Dinner is ribs and chicken served as golfers arrive. Thanks to Rich Cucco with Imagetec L.P. for being our dinner sponsor. All golfers will receive a special keepsake gift and have opportunities to win prizes.

A few tees, greens and par 3 sponsorships are available. To make golf reservations, be a tee, green or hole-in-one sponsor, contact the chamber. Thank you to presenting sponsor General Mitchell International Airport, the preferred McHenry Area Chamber airport.
