Woodstock man arrested for driving over 100 mph

WONDER LAKE - A Woodstock man was arrested Saturday for driving more than 100 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, according to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.

Nicholas J. Brain, 25, was observed driving 101 mph in the 6400 block of McCullom Lake Road in unincorporated Wonder Lake, a sheriff's office news release said.

Nicholas, who was traveling in a red Ford Mustang, was charged with reckless driving, speeding 35+ mph over the speed limit, and improper traffic lane usage.

He was taken to the McHenry County Jail without incident and held on a $2,000 bond.

His next court appearance is April 24.
